About

I'M Khalil Albatran

An independent interdisciplinary Palestinian artist working as a theater director, actor, and music creator, based in Palestine. In 2014, I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Drama and Theater from the Drama Academy in Ramallah, in partnership with Folkwang University of the Arts in Germany.

My work moves between performance, direction, music, and theatrical research, through which I explore questions of political and social oppression using tools such as community-based theater, collective writing, and embodied expression.
Theater and music, for me, are not simply artistic tools—they are an endless life. I began my journey in this field as a way to confront challenges and to open genuine dialogue with people, whether in the street or at home. Through the workshops and performances I create, I continue to explore body-place relations, resistance, and the formation of identity, grounded in experiential and research-driven creative methodologies.
